This website uses cookies to improve the user’s browsing experience and ensure its correct functioning.

General Information

In order to provide the user with a better and personalized browsing experience, the Data Controller needs to keep information on how to use this website (hereinafter, the “Site”). This operation is performed by using tracking tools, including cookies.

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by the websites that you visit. Cookies are then sent back to the website on each subsequent visit, or to another webpage that recognizes that cookie. Cookies are used in order to make the website work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the website. Such information may be used to provide a more personalized and responsive service. Cookies may be either first party cookies set directly by us to your device, or third-party cookies set by a third-party provider on our behalf. Whenever you use this system, information may be collected through the use of cookies and other similar technologies (e.g., web beacons, tags, scripts, local storage).

With each use of the Site, personal data may be collected through the use of cookies and other technologies. This Cookie Notice is a part of the Privacy Policy. For more information about us, and how we process personal information, please see our Privacy Policy.

Data Controller

The Data Controller of the personal data collected through the Site is HTLC Network Group Holding A.G. (hereinafter “HTLC Network”), based in Corso San Gottardo, 16 – 6830 Chiasso (Switzerland). The Data Controller guarantees compliance with the rules on protection of Personal Data by providing the following information on the processing of data collected while browsing on this website.

Pursuant to Art. 27 GDPR, since the Data Controller is established outside the European Union, the company HTLC R.O.S. with registered office in Milan (Italy), Via Tommaso da Cazzaniga, 9/6, is appointed as Representative of the Data Controller within the European Union.

Data Protection Officer

For further information on how we use cookies, you can contact the HTLC Network Personal Data Protection Officer at the following e-mail address: dataprotectionofficer.eu@htlcnetwork.com.

What type of cookies does HTLC Network use?

Cookies can be classified into two macrocategories: “technical” and “profiling“.

Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network (e.g. a website), or to the extent strictly necessary for the provision of a service requested by the user.

Profiling cookies are aimed at tracking user navigation and creating a profile of the same, in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the latter in the context of surfing the net.

There is also an additional category, “analytical” cookies, which are considered in the same way as technical cookies when they are used directly by a website to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit that site.

Furthermore, the cookies used by the Site include both HTLC Network cookies (or First Party Cookies), which manages the Site, and Third Party Cookies, i.e. subjects who install their own cookies through the Site.

The types of cookies used on this Site are:

  • Strictly necessary cookies

HTLC Network uses cookies that are strictly necessary to save the user’s browsing session and are necessary for the correct functioning of the Site. This type of cookie is used in response to requests for services by the user, such as authentication to access restricted areas or filling in modules/forms. These cookies guarantee normal navigation and use of the Site. It is possible to set the browser used for navigation to block these cookies, but some parts of the Site may not function properly.

  • Functionality cookies

HTLC Network also uses functionality cookies to record information on user choices and to allow for more advanced customization of the Site. These cookies can be installed by HTLC Network or by third parties. Disabling these cookies could compromise the quality and browsing experience within the Site.

  • Analytical and Performance cookies

HTLC Network uses analysis services to understand the level of effectiveness of the contents, the interests of users and to improve the functioning of the Site. Furthermore, HTLC Network uses tracking tools such as web beacons or tracking pixels and other cookies to count the number of visitors who access the Site and their frequency. If these cookies are deactivated, HTLC Network will not be able to acquire information on the user’s visits to the Site.

  • Targeting cookies

The Site uses profiling/targeting cookies, i.e. cookies aimed at sending targeted advertising in relation to interests and in line with the preferences expressed by users during their navigation. In particular, these types of cookies are installed by HTLC Network and by third parties, advertising partners of HTLC Network who may present, also on other sites, advertisements and advertising content based on the interests shown. The user’s consent is required for the installation and use of these cookies.

How do I manage cookies?

You can control and manage cookies in several ways, by browsing the following sections:

  • Cookie Settings
  • Browser Controls
  • Management of locally shared objects or Flash cookies

Deleting or blocking cookies may affect the user’s browsing experience and some parts of the site may no longer be fully accessible. The installation of strictly necessary cookies does not require the prior consent of the user. You can disable them at any time through your browser settings, as specified in the “Browser controls” section.

To disable/enable analytical and performance cookies and functionality cookies, the user is invited to access the “Preferences” button, as specified in the “Cookie Settings” section.

For the installation and use of targeting cookies, the user’s consent is required, expressed upon first access to the Site according to the methods set out in the cookie banner (i.e. by clicking on “Accept all”). Once the consent to their use has been given, the user can revoke it at any time, disabling the installation of profiling cookies, through the appropriate “View Preferences” button, as specified in the “Cookie Settings” section or through the browser settings as specified in the “Browser Controls” section.

Cookies Settings

The cookies used by this Site can be managed through the specific “Privacy Preference Center” area present in the banner, by accessing the sections indicated therein – “Functional cookies”, “Analytical and performance cookies”, “Targeting cookies” and ticking or unticking the related box.

Browser Controls

Most browsers allow the user to check which cookies have been installed, to delete them individually or to block cookies from all or certain websites. Once all cookies have been deleted, any settings on the previously set options will be lost.

It is therefore possible to configure the browser to accept or reject cookies, or to warn the user when a particular cookie has been sent. Each browser is different, therefore it is necessary to check the configuration settings of the specific browser used to manage the options for enabling cookies.

Below are the links to the configuration pages of the most popular browsers:

Management of locally shared objects or Flash cookies

A locally shared object or flash cookie is similar to most other cookies, but can store additional types of information. These types of cookies cannot be controlled using the mechanisms indicated above. Some parts of this Site use these cookies to store user preferences regarding the functionality of the media player; without them some video content may not work properly.

These cookies can be controlled manually by visiting the Adobe website.

Social buttons

HTLC Network also uses “social buttons” to allow users to share or report web pages. These are buttons that refer to third-party social media sites that could record information on online activities carried out by users. Please review the respective terms of use and privacy policies of those sites to understand exactly how your information is used and how you can withdraw your consent to its use.

External web services

In some cases, HTLC Network may use external web services on this site to allow the display of certain contents, for example to reproduce images and show videos. As in the case of social buttons, HTLC Network cannot prevent these sites from collecting information on the use made by the user. The user is therefore invited to access the individual privacy policies of the third parties to acquire information on their data processing.

Changes to the Cookie Policy

HTLC Network may make periodic changes or corrections to this Cookie Policy at its discretion. When these changes are made, HTLC Network will update the revision date and the changes to this Policy will affect the user and the processing of his personal data starting from the new date. HTLC Network therefore invites the user to periodically check this Cookie Policy to be informed about how HTLC Network uses cookies.
